20% of yearly business growth?

In a previous post, I did the math on the famous "10X your business." Let's now simulate a 20% growth (in terms of employees) over a five year period.

Let's start with ten employees to get round numbers:

start, 10 employees
after year 1 with 20% growth: 12 employees
after year 2 with 20% growth: 14 employees
after year 3: 17 employees
after year 4: 20 employees
after year 5: 24 employees

With an average 20% growth rate, you will have doubled your staff after approximately four years.
After 20 years, with 20% per year of steady growth, this company would employ 383 employees.
Impressive numbers!
